It's the weekend, we're sitting round the table together ready for the weekly game night. It's twenty minutes in, past the formalities and catch up, when you hear the dreaded question;

"What do you do next?"

This Adventure Journal aims to provide small seeds of inspiration for what you can create with endless opportunities available. Say goodbye to analysis paralysis and create the adventure YOU want to have!

Should you find yourself lost after character creation, this journal aims to develop your adventure into something epic and to create a legacy in your games and in your own home library.

Use the Quest Tracking page to write down your current quests, and check off any that have been completed. Why not write down the page number so you can read your notes associated with that questline and what hijinks you may have caused in the process.

Some games can have a lot of NPCs to keep track of, so why not list them down in the Player Relationships page and draw some strings as to how they're connected. "I hear the Mayor is secretly involved with the death of Sally Dibbs the Gnome Baker!"

In this journal, you'll find:

  • Character enrichment
  • Relationship tables
  • Lifetime goals
  • Activity trackers
  • Personal quests
  • Map building
  • Achievements
  • NPC recognition
  • Progression logs

RPG Agnostic

I've developed the Adventure Journal to be used in any fantasy setting, or any genre if you find it bleeding into sci-fi or horror. Many of the suggestions and scenarios I've referenced are from my own personal experiences while playing such games as The One Ring, Tales from the Loop, Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun and many more.

This Zine was successfully funded via Kickstarter and thus is now available as a PDF download here.
